Frank Corum

FRANK CORUM, a longtime friend and strong supporter of Veterans and the Veterans Freedom Flag Monument, has left us for a bigger job upstairs. Frank's company, the Cherokee Porcelain Enamel Corporation, located in Knoxville, TN, made the 1500 brick plates that make up the front of the VFFM. When we started the VFFM project, Frank was with us all the way through our rough times and good times. We know for certain that we never totally lose the good people like Frank, even in death. When we look at the VFFM, we look at a legacy that people like Frank left for us by doing the right thing for the right reason. Following in his footsteps of honoring the American Veteran, his company has said they would continue to make brick plates for us. Frank leaves an indelible imprint in our memories as a man who made sure no Veteran ever went without thanks or was forgotten. Frank died with his boots on and changing lives for the better, right up to the end. We find comfort in knowing that America and our lives have been enriched by knowing and working with FRANK CORUM, truly a great American.
